Telepharmacy
Sound Health provides the latest in automated meds dispensing using strip packaging technologies combined with case-by-case analysis of the meds being prescribed to each patient and delivered via automated dispensing machines. This compliance packaging service applies to patients that have multiple medications or where their compliance with even one medication is suspect. The goal is to increase the chances of a good patient outcome by ensuring the taking of the right medication at the right time. This is a free service.
The system works easily and effectively in this step-by-step process:
- Physician identifies a patient needing multiple medications where consumption of meds would be improved with compliance packaging, either for daily witness ingestion or as part of a routine of meds combined with a weekly visitation.
- Prescription is faxed to Fruitvale pharmacy.
- The prescription is prepared with compliance packaging and is couriered to the dispensing unit as soon as possible. This process repeats weekly until ordered to stop.
- The product is received and placed in the dispensing machine in the appropriate shelf.
- The regular procedures for automated dispensing apply from there.
